I was born and raised by the sea, in the golden era of the 80s. Each summer (undeniably my favourite season of the year) was spent with my family in Çeşme, a quaint town on the coastline of Turkey. Our love and connection to the sea was unwavering. Our days revolved around large crowded tables filled with seafood platters that we had lovingly cooked and prepared. We explored the winding streets and cobblestone marketplace, rode bicycles to the beach, breathed fresh, salty air, tinged with hints of mountain herbs…

It is those scents, sounds and flavours of summer that are etched into my soul. And, although I had to move to Istanbul for college, the Aegean seaside has, and always will be my haven.
As the years passed me by, the dream of going back to my roots left me with overwhelming joy.

Finally, that time has come… to return home, to a life by the sea.
